In love, in love, in love. What can I say ? It's just paradise to me. How can we concentrate all this good food in a small place like this one.
I really like everything. How it looks, how it tastes...
The only bad thing is the price, but it's normal to pay more for special products coming from around the world.
I absolutely recommend this place. Just to visit it if you don't want to buy anything. Judge go make a little world tour in 10 minutes. -

Amazing selection of cheeses, snacks, coffee syrups, and all sorts of other things. They stock my favourite peanut butter puffs too- thank you!! Pleasant staff, if a little stiff.

I absolutely adore this place. Mind, I haven't tried their cafe upstairs (but I will one day!); I've only browsed their shop below.
~ Atmosphere:
If I could describe Wally's Delicatessen in only 1 word, I would pick "charming". Especially since I browsed during the Christmas shopping season, there were loads of adorable treats here and you would really get lost browsing the aisles filled with all sorts of things you just couldn't find anywhere else. I'm normally not much of a shop-browsing person but even I really enjoyed it!
~ Variety:
If there's one thing that Wally's does have, is plenty of variety with loads of goodies you can't get anywhere else. You could probably tick off your entire Christmas shopping just at this shop! There aren't just sweets and unique treats, but also a fully stocked deli with wonderful cured meats and cheeses.

The only thing about Wally's is that it isn't cheap but for unique high-quality goods, you'd be hard pressed to find another shop in Cardiff that offers the same. I left with some yoghurt-covered banana snacks and macarons! Definitely will be back soon when I'm ready to do some Christmas-shopping! -

This is a Cardiff classic. Ask a local about Wallys and they will inevitably ave a good view to share with you.
It is tucked away down a little arcade n the centre of town. Looking through the big glass windows a treasure trove of ingredients twinkles back at you. Stepping through the door the aroma is the first thing that hits you, then the ambience. Now it seems odd to say a food shop has an ambience but this place really does. The dark wood floors, subtle lighting, well though out displays and the staff in their long white lab coats, gives the place a lovely feel.
There are areas to explore from the dried and tinned goods, spices, the cheese counter, breads cooked on site, meats and fish counter and then the fridges of sausages and cheese. In between there are aisles of preserved ingredients and near the till an array of select alcoholic drinks.
Even their brown paper bags are cool.
The only reason this place doesn't get a 5 is due to the cost. Be prepared to spend a lot of money whenyou visit. On one level you are getting good ingredients and some hard to buy items which can command a premium. On the other, many of the items on sale are available in other stores much cheaper.
Don't let the price comment put you off and go treat yourself!!! -

Kaffeehaus upstairs is a great place for lunch. Open Baden sandwich with smoked ham. Also had Earl Grey tea and 6 small lebkuchen. Very nice.
